Why Cardigans & Sweaters Made from Natural Fibers?
Wool is naturally temperature-regulating: it warms in winter without overheating in spring and autumn. The fine mesh structure wicks moisture away, neutralizes odors, and keeps children dry during activity. Unlike synthetic fibers, wool does not static cling – a real advantage for sensitive children's skin.

Frequently Asked Questions
From what age are wool cardigans and sweaters suitable for children?
Our children’s cardigans and sweaters are available in sizes 74/80 to 134/140, making them suitable from around 9 months up to primary school age. For babies, we recommend our baby knitwear with specially adapted cuts.
Does wool itch on sensitive children's skin?
No. We use only extra-fine natural yarns such as merino wool, cashmere, and alpaca. These fibers are much finer than traditional wool and feel soft on the skin – even for sensitive children and those with allergies. Direct skin contact is no problem.
How do I properly wash a children's cardigan or sweater made from merino wool?
Knitwear made from wool rarely needs washing – airing it out in fresh air is usually enough. If necessary, wash by hand or on a wool cycle at a maximum of 30°C with wool detergent and dry flat. Never tumble dry to maintain its shape.
What is the difference between a cardigan and a sweater?
A cardigan is a knitted jacket with a full button or zipper closure – ideal as a warming mid-layer and easy to put on and take off. A sweater is a closed knit pullover that is pulled over the head – cozy, simple, and perfect for cold days.
Are the cardigans and sweaters sustainable?
Yes. We exclusively use mulesing-free, GOTS-certified natural fibers from controlled organic animal husbandry (kbT). Our products are knitted in our own workshop in Hungenroth – without synthetic fibers, with short transport routes, and under fair working conditions.
