How do I care for clothing made from merino wool?

Merino wool is naturally self-cleaning – airing the garment is usually sufficient. If needed, we recommend gentle hand washing with a special wool detergent at a maximum of 30°C or using the wool cycle on a washing machine. Dry flat, do not tumble dry, and do not wring.

Is merino wool suitable for summer?

Yes. Thanks to its temperature-regulating properties, merino wool keeps you warm in winter and cool in summer. Lightweight merino sweaters and scarves are ideal companions for transitional seasons and cool summer evenings.

What sizes does HALFEN offer for merino wool clothing?

Our merino clothing is available for babies (50/56 to 86/92), children (98/104 to 146/152), and women (XS to XL). Hats and scarves are usually available in one size, while wool socks come in various sizes for adults and children.

Are all materials GOTS-certified?

Many of our materials carry the GOTS certification. You can identify which items are certified by the note on the respective product page. The GOTS label guarantees ecological production, freedom from harmful substances, and fair working conditions.
