Materials & Care

Material & Care

The dough consists of natural ingredients such as flour, salt, vegetable oil, and cream of tartar. Coloring and fragrance are achieved through food-safe additives and essential oils or flavorings. Dutch Dough is lovingly handmade – safe for children's hands and intentionally free of preservatives.

Natural play materials require little care. It is most important to seal the dough well after playing to retain moisture and keep it soft for a long time.

Care tips:
  • Always seal the dough airtight after playing
  • Protect from direct sunlight
  • Spot clean tools with a damp cloth
  • Knead in a little coconut oil if needed
  • Do not store on radiators or warm surfaces
  • Not suitable for consumption
  • Use only under adult supervision

With good care, the dough will accompany many hours of play and remain a creative companion in everyday family life for a long time.

Notes

Consistency

The Dutch Dough modelling clay is pleasantly soft and easy to shape, roll, and press. This makes it particularly suitable for small children's hands from around 3 years of age.

Thanks to its pliable consistency, children can independently shape figures and use tools. If the modelling clay is stored in an airtight container after playing, it will remain elastic and malleable for a long time.

Our tip: Should the modelling clay become a little drier over time, a few drops of water and brief kneading will help restore its pliability.
