Fine milled wool is not the same as heavy loden fabric – it is lighter to wear, but retains all the properties that make wool a reliable everyday material. This jacket has been part of what we stand for as a fourth-generation family knitting company since 1928: clothing that you don't replace after one season.

The bomber jacket is designed as a unisex cut – the sizes are based on men's measurements. Women usually choose one size smaller than their usual clothing size. The fit will then be slightly oversized, which corresponds to the bomber jacket look. If you prefer a tighter fit, choose two sizes smaller.

The loden wool has no stretch reserve – the fabric is felted and does not give. The extra-long cuffs compensate for some length difference and adapt more easily due to the knitted material than the loden fabric itself. The ribbed waistband sits at hip height for men, and slightly lower for women – this is intentional and creates a classic bomber jacket proportion effect.

Our tip: Women should choose at least one size smaller than usual – and two sizes smaller if they have narrow shoulders. When in doubt, it's better to go smaller, as loden wool does not stretch and an overly wide shoulder area cannot be corrected.

The jacket is made from fine boiled wool – 100% merino wool from controlled organic livestock (kbT), GOTS-certified and mulesing-free. "Fine boiled wool" means that the wool is less compacted during the boiling process than with heavy boiled wool – the result is a lighter, more supple fabric that nevertheless remains wind-resistant and dimensionally stable. All yarns used are chlorine-free, free of pesticides and synthetic dyes.

Boiled wool is naturally water and dirt repellent, antibacterial and odor-neutral. In everyday use, airing the jacket briefly after wearing it is usually sufficient – washing is significantly less necessary than with other materials.

Care tips:

• Airing out in the fresh air after wearing
• Brush off coarse dirt with a soft clothing brush
• Spot cleaning with a damp cloth for small stains
• Hand wash if necessary with mild wool detergent, lukewarm – never hot
• Do not tumble dry – boiled wool shrinks with heat
• Do not iron, do not bleach
• If necessary, lanolin bath – maintains the natural water repellency of the boiled wool

Well-cared for, the jacket will stay in shape for many years – fine boiled wool even compacts slightly further with wear and does not deteriorate.

Benefit from the speed and reliability of our shipping partner DHL. Express deliveries are only possible to addresses within Germany and will be delivered on the next working day if you place your order Monday – Friday before 12 PM. Express delivery (excluding deliveries to packing stations) is only possible on the German mainland.

Please note that orders placed on a Saturday will only be delivered on the following Tuesday – not Monday.
