Boiled Wool Overalls for Children – Natural Head-to-Toe Protection

A wool fleece overall is the uncomplicated complete solution for the cold season: it keeps you warm, is naturally water and dirt repellent, breathable and temperature-regulating – without chemical coating. In this collection you will find our wool fleece overalls for babies and children in five models, in sizes 50/56 to 98/104.

Which overall fits when?

  • Fleece overall with zipper: the classic – quick to put on and take off, with a continuous zipper. Ideal for everyday use with a buggy, stroller or baby carrier.
  • Wool fleece overall with teddy hood and cuffs: the warmest option – with a cuddly teddy lining in the hood and elastic cuffs on arms and legs. Perfect for low temperatures and longer outdoor time.
  • Fine wool fleece overall without hood: the lighter cut for transitional seasons or milder winter days – ideal in combination with a separate hat.
  • B-stock models: same quality, with minor optical deviations – at a reduced price.

Why wool fleece?

Wool fleece is knitted from pure virgin wool and then fulled – the stitches connect to form a dense, dimensionally stable fabric. The result: a material that is significantly warmer than knitwear and at the same time repels rain, without the need for chemical impregnation. Wool regulates temperature, neutralizes odors and therefore usually requires significantly fewer washes than synthetic alternatives.

Features at a glance

  • Dirt and odor repellent – only needs to be washed rarely
  • Mulesing-free virgin wool, tested for harmful substances (REACH)
  • Sizes 50/56 to 98/104 – from newborn to kindergarten age

Frequently Asked Questions

Are boiled wool overalls really water-repellent?

Yes. Through the felting process, the wool fibers bond into a dense fabric that allows light rain and snow to bead off. However, boiled wool does have its limits in heavy or prolonged rain – in such cases, an additional rain layer is recommended.

For which temperatures are the overalls suitable?

The boiled wool overall with zipper and the fine boiled wool overall without a hood are suitable for both winter and transitional seasons. For very cold days and extended outdoor use, we recommend the overall with teddy hood and cuffs, which provides noticeably more warmth thanks to its teddy lining.

What sizes are available and from what age do the overalls fit?

The overalls are available in sizes 50/56 to 98/104 – from newborn up to kindergarten age. Not every model is available in all sizes. Exact availability can be found on the respective product page.

How do I properly care for a boiled wool overall?

Boiled wool rarely needs washing. Airing the overall outdoors refreshes it effectively, and surface dirt can usually be brushed off. If needed, hand wash or use a wool cycle at a maximum of 30°C with a mild wool detergent, then dry flat. Never tumble dry.

What does "B-grade" mean for the overalls?

B-grade models have the same material and workmanship quality as our standard overalls but feature small visual imperfections – for example slight irregularities in the dyeing or fabric. Functionally, they are fully equivalent and are offered at a reduced price.
