In this overview, you'll find the entire Halfen range: knitwear and boiled wool clothing as well as accessories made from pure merino wool, cashmere, alpaca, and boiled wool – for babies, children, women, and men. Each piece stands for high-quality natural fibers, durable craftsmanship, and timeless design that lasts through many seasons.

- Baby (sizes 50/56–86/92): Boiled wool overalls, wrap jackets, cashmere blankets, rompers, baby booties, hats and more – thoughtfully designed for the first months of life.
- Children (sizes 86/92–134/140): Boiled wool jackets, cardigans, sweaters, dungarees, vests, hats and scarves – robust for kindergarten, school and leisure.
- Women (XS–XL): Cardigans, sweaters, boiled wool coats, bomber jackets, trousers, dresses, hats, scarves and triangular scarves in timeless cuts.
- Men (XS–XL): Boiled wool jackets, boiled wool coats, knitted sweaters, hats and accessories – simple, durable, suitable for everyday wear.
Materials at a Glance
- Boiled wool: dense, felted wool fabric – warm and water-repellent without chemical impregnation. Ideal for outdoor items such as overalls, jackets and coats.
- Merino wool (extra-fine, kbT): scratch-free, breathable and temperature-regulating – also suitable for sensitive skin.
- Cashmere & cashmere blends: particularly soft feel, elegant appearance with low weight.
- Alpaca: lanolin-free, skin-friendly and with high thermal performance.
All yarns are mulesing-free, tested for harmful substances (REACH) and processed without synthetic additives. Many materials are GOTS-certified.
What Defines Halfen
We are a fourth-generation family business – founded in 1928 in Hungenroth. Our clothing is produced in our own knitting factory with short distances, fair production and genuine craftsmanship. Which target groups are Halfen products designed for?
Our range includes clothing and accessories for babies (sizes 50/56–86/92), children (sizes 86/92–134/140), women (XS–XL), and men (XS–XL). Within these categories, you will find knitwear, boiled wool garments, and accessories – from rompers to winter coats.
Which material is suitable for which purpose?
Boiled wool is ideal for outdoor pieces such as jackets, coats, and overalls – it is warm and water-repellent. Merino wool and cashmere are suitable for knitwear worn directly on the skin, such as sweaters, cardigans, hats, and scarves. Alpaca is an especially soft alternative for sensitive skin.
Are Halfen products sustainably produced?
Yes. We exclusively use mulesing-free natural fibers, many of which are GOTS-certified or sourced from controlled organic animal husbandry. All knitting is done in our own manufactory in Hungenroth – without synthetic fibers, with short transport routes, and under fair working conditions.
How do I properly care for Halfen products?
Wool rarely needs to be washed – airing it out in fresh air is usually sufficient. If necessary, hand wash or use a wool cycle at a maximum of 30°C with a mild wool detergent, then lay flat to dry. Never use a dryer. Pilling can be gently removed with a wool comb or fabric shaver.
Can I return products if they don’t fit?
Yes. You can return your order within 14 days of receipt without any issues. You can conveniently obtain the return label via our returns portal. In case of sizing issues, we recommend placing a new order for an exchange.
